Flash Animation

I am making Flash Animation! This being my first project, I am hitting on obstacles every 5 minutes. One of them is definitely file-size and the internet. Here, I have a 30-second SWF that is supposed to serve as the intro credits. It is currently 1 MB (without sound) and I am worried it might end up a HUGE file.

I am torn whether to lose the detail and make an “abstractish” style or stick to my hand-drawn one. Right now, I’m on the hand-drawn style side. (What the heck, I’ll just export it to video, use divX to compress it and post it on youtube. It might be smaller (hopefully! I don’t know yet). Anyway, heres that short animation, just FYI, it might take a while to load.

Let me know what you think.

Your birth date

Your Birthdate: August 11
Spiritual and thoughtful, you tend to take a step back from the world.
You’re very sensitive to what’s going on around you, yet you remain calm.
Although you are brilliant, it may take you a while to find your niche.
Your creativity is supreme, but it sometimes makes it hard for you to get things done.

Your strength: Your inner peace

Your weakness: You get stuck in the clouds

Your power color: Emerald

Your power symbol: Leaf

Your power month: November

What Does Your Birth Date Mean?

This strikes me as scary, because it is accurate to some extent! I felt guilty on what it said. Hehehe leaf is my power symbol? Leaf Ninja!!! :D

Update v2.0

Its been a while since I wrote anything. Any updates in my life? Sure!

Update #1: I got married last Friday. It feels great!  My boss and other co-workers don’t feel that way with their wives. I wonder why? Is it because they spend most of their lives with that person that they grow tired? Perhaps. I’ve just started with new life with my girlfriend of 3 years. Now, my wife of 6 days.  Its great. I don’t know the secret how to make a marriage last, nor has anyone told me the secret. I guess, I’ll just have to take it slow. One day at a time. We might have moments of hardships both internal and external in our marriage, but, so far, everything we’ve been able to work out.

Update #2: I cooked yesterday. Menudo! Wahaha. It wasn’t even my own recipe. It was a combination of Mama Sita’s, My Mother’s and my own gut instinct.  Mama Sita instructed to add a few cubes of liver. If you know me really well, I HATE LIVER. I don’t know why. (Tasted it once as a child, hated it ever since). Mom told me to add some achuetes to make the broth/sauce red. But, here’s how I did it. Here are my ingredients.

  • Chuck Pork (or something) cubed into small pieces
  • Mama Sita’s Menudo Mix (I know, cheating….)
  • Tomatoes Cubed
  • Onions Sliced
  • Garlic Minced
  • Green Red and Yellow Bell Peppers Sliced into strips
  • Potatoes Cubed
  • Carrots Cubed

You may have noticed that I haven’t included the amounts. Well, no one told me how much of each either. Just add as much as you want that you think would be good.  First off, saute the usual, garlic, followed by tomatoes and onions. They’re all cubed, if you haven’t noticed, because that’s how I think it should look like. You can do whatever you want with yours! After the saute process, add the pork, and let it cook in its own sauce. After it almost dries or if the meat is cooked, drain whats left of the sauce and add in the Mama Sita Mix. Let it simmer for a few minutes (again, all guesswork). After all that add in the peppers, make sure to add the potatoes last because they cook easy. That’s it. Serve hot with rice and enjoy! Oh, add salt and pepper to taste!

Update #3: We got a GPS navigator and we went to the Delaware Water Gap. Went rafting on the Delaware river for 7 miles. (4 hours equivalent). Man! That was fun! We brought our cameras with us, expecting it to be a calm ride all the way. Hehe, we didn’t know there were 3 sections of rapids in the river. First time in the rapids for the both of us. First set was scary, but OK. Second was even worse! We drifted off near the shore and got stuck on a couple protruding rocks. It took a while to get us out of there, but man, that was scary and fun at the same time! Well we eventually got to the pickup point where they drove us back to the pack shack. I will definitely be doing that again!

So, that was my whole weekend. How was yours? Oh, and by the way, I deleted all my previous entries. I want to start a fresh new blog.
